Benefits of Integrated MCD Based Simulation • Simulation is based on the actual MCD that will be run at the machine instead of the results expected by the CAM system for the generated CL file • Tool motions are based on the machine’s kinematics and interpolation/positioning strategies, which can be very different from a CL based tool path • CATIA / DELMIA integrated simulation uses the same tools, fixtures, part and stock resources that were defined for the manufacturing operation, eliminating the extra processing and potential errors involved in extracting this information to a non-integrated verification solution

Benefits of a VNCK Based Simulation • Simulation is based on the actual SIEMENS 840D NCK and settings used at the machine instead of the behavior expected by the Control Emulator software developer • Exact representation of machine joint motions under all conditions (ORIAXES, ORIVECT, ORICURVE…) • Accurate simulation of on-board controller and user cycles, other subprograms, expressions, variables… • Extremely accurate machining time calculations, based on the machine’s velocity, acceleration and jerk constraints, and also taking into account program feed and tolerance optimization settings (G64x, CYCLE832, FFWON, BRISK…)
