  4. Area or Perimeter? • Will you need to know the area of each section of the playground and/or the perimeter of each section?

  5. Team Assignments • Surveyor—measure the dimensions of the different OES play areas. • Landscaper—research possible materials to be used • Architect—design the layout of the new playground • Project coordinator/presenter

Problems on the Playground Your group will design a new playground for OES. • You must use the existing play space. • All existing equipment must remain. • Your design should solve at least one of the stated problems. Team Assignments Each member of your team should have one job: • Surveyor—measure the dimensions of the different OES play areas. • Landscaper—research possible materials to be used • Architect—design the layout of the new playground • Project coordinator/presenter—explains the project how the new design solves a playground problem. Your presentation should include • a scaled playground map with measurements in yards and feet (1 cm = 1 foot) • amount of material needed to complete the project • name the problem and solution
