What is an EOC? • A central location from which government at any level can provide interagencycoordination and executive decision makingin support of the incident response. • The EOC does not command or control the on-scene response, but plays a critical role in support of the response.  • The EOC is a facility from which the multiple agencies or organizations involved are coordinated.

  5. EOCs at UNM and UNMH • Two different locations • Two different sets of personnel • Two different purposes, goals and objectives • Same training requirements • Work very closely together • Exercise together • Serve as backups for one another
