Jesus is the only way to Salvation; Acts 4:12, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 10:24-28. • We receive God’s grace • by hearing the Good News about Christ; Romans 10:14, 17, • believing that Jesus is the Christ; John 3:16, John 8:24, • (See also: Acts 16:31 Rom. 10:10; Eph 1:13, 2:8-9), • repenting of sin; Luke 13:3; 2 Corinthians 7:9-10, • (See also: Acts 2:38, 3:19, 17:30-31; Acts 26:20) • confessing Christ; Matthew 10:32-33, Romans 10:9-10, • (See also: Matt. 16:15-16; Jn 1:49; 6:69; 11:27; Acts 8:37), • and being Baptized by immersion into Christ for the remission of sin and the gift of the Holy Spirit; Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38-41, Acts 16:33, Acts 22:16, Romans 6:3-7, 1 Peter 3:21, (See also Matthew 28:18-20; John 3:5, Acts 19:1-6; 2 Cor. 5:17; Galatians 3:27; Eph. 4:5; Col 2:12) • and that change in lifestyle, due to accepting Christ as Lord and Savior, will continue throughout life; Matthew 24:13, Revelation 2:10 • (See also: Matthew 6:33; 2 Peter 1:5-12, 3:18); • but that none of these is sufficient in and of itself for the assurance of salvation.
