Biography • “Stonewall Jackson on November 24th on the way to Fredericksburg , he had received word that Anna had given birth to a baby girl.”(133) • “As for Stonewall Jackson, he had not wanted the battle to end when it did “(130) • “Tom Jackson was born in 1824, but he wasn’t sure if had been on January 20th or the 21st.”(9)

  5. Evaluation: Is Stonewall a good example of a Biography? Jean Fritz did a very good job telling the story of General Stonewall Jackson. She did a very good job using realistic quotes like these three examples. Fritz did a good job with this because she found out Jacksons real thoughts and such to actually state what he was thinking threw out his life. From his childhood to his death threw out the civil war and all this book most defiantly shows biography as its genre.
