CTSI Objectives 1) Expand and fully integrate the “academic home” for clinical and translational research that was created with the U of L CTSA Planning grant. 2) Create a multidisciplinary program in research education and career development, utilizing an advanced degree that trains the next generation of clinical and translational investigators. 3) Provide the necessary clinical research resources and translational technologies as well as support in areas such as bioinformatics, biostatistics and ethics to support novel and clinical and translational research. 4) Fully engage the unique and highly diverse population of Kentucky in research and translate our research findings into the community to improve the overall health and well being it’s subjects.

UofL’s request to the General Assembly for a $5 million appropriation to the Dataseam cancer research grid was approved. UofL will raise money for Pilot projects
