  2. We Pray together – the theme for our week is ‘Blessing’ Lord As we begin this new school year, we ask for God’s blessing on all students and staff who are new to our community at St Philomena’s. We pray that everyone is feeling welcomed and affirmed and that each person’s unique gifts will be valued and contribute to the good of the whole school. A summer of achievement GCSE Results • 98.4% of Year 11 students gained 5 or more passes at A* - C. • 86.5% gained 5 or more A* - C including Maths & English. • 49.8% of all grades achieved at A* or A. • 100% pass rate for all subjects. Notable Achievements • 152 students achieved 10 A* to C grades or better. • 38 students achieved 10 A* or A grades or better • Top 30 Comprehensive Schools

  7. A 'Level Results • 21% A* grades. • 45% A* - A grades. • 75% A*- B grades. • 93% were A*- C grades. • No U grades were awarded. • 92% of all BTEC entries achieved the equivalent of grade A*/A at A ‘Level. • 100% pass rate in all BTEC subjects.

  8. Achievements 2011/12 • Arts Mark. • Church School Award. • Outstanding Attainment Award. • International Schools Award 2012-2015. • Bronze Award for our Travel Plan. • Silver Eco Award ‘sustainable school’. • Sixth Form continues to grow, highest number of students 285 attending.

  10. To Achieve 2012/13 • Parental Survey (September) • New website (live from October half term) • Appointed Mrs Harper to Aspirations Coordinator. Mrs Harper will be working with our More Able Gifted & Talented (MAGT) students tailoring provision to meet need. • Delivering a series of workshops for Parents • Improved Assessment, Recording and Reporting from Year 7-13 using ‘Key Assessments’. • Green Flag status
