  6. Results • >120 million tons of waste reduced since 1994 • ~16 million tons of waste eliminated in 2005 • >500 tons of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) & >5,000 tons of low-density polyethylene reused and donated • >63,500 tons of food waste eliminated • 4,000 tons of PCs recycled

WasteWise & Resource Conservation Challenge (RCC) • Recycling – achieving a 35% recycling rate for municipal solid waste by 2008 • Organic materials, paper, and primary packaging/containers • Beneficial use of secondary materials • Reducing electronics waste • WasteWise offers partners strategies to increase reuse and recycling of these materials.
