  2. Simile • It was 3 o’clock in the morning and I was getting ready to go to the Dominican Republic with the Johnsons. At the airport, it was as loud as a soccer stadium when the home team scores! On the plane, Max and I sat by ourselves and ate lots of candy! When we got off the plane, it was a sudden rush of heat! To make things even better, the airport roof was straw! It was so cool! At the luxury resort we swam all day! I brought shorts but ended up only wearing a bathing suit. At the pool, there was a swim up bar and we ordered lots of pina coladas! The pina coladas were as heavenly as bacon!

  3. Metaphor • Orange. • Orange is my running sneakers. • Orange is a beautiful sunset. • Orange is a bright campfire. • Orange is a bottle of Fanta. • Orange is the sun’s blazing rays. • Orange is a tiger roaming the jungle. • Orange is a basketball flying through the air. • Orange is a Thanksgiving pumpkin. • Orange is a goldfish. • Orange is a fox sneaking around the forest. • That is ORANGE!

  4. Hyperbole • Taking out the trash – If I didn’t do that • There would be 9 billion pieces of trash all over my house!

  5. Alliteration • Radical Ronan raced rapidly and relentlessly round Russia’s wrecked roads!

  6. Onomatopoeia • It was a quiet Sunday morning and I was downstairs listening to music in my beats. I was in the middle of my favorite song when, BOOM, CRASH! I yelled to my Mom “What was that?” she responded “Don’t know!” So I ran upstairs and realized my brother fell out of bed. I noticed he was still asleep so I left him alone. Then my Mom came up and put him back in bed. I walked downstairs and watched the Barclays Premier League. I was watching my favorite team when Sizzle, Sizzle! I ran to the kitchen and saw the crispy bacon on the oven! YES!!! I thought.
