  2. Pre-Assessment Pre-Assessment is a test given after we completed a chapter and before we start a new chapter. It is a measurement of how much information you already know before I teach.

  3. Basic Measurements* Distance is measured in meters. Mass is measured in grams.

  4. Basic Measurements* Volume is measured in centimeters cubed (cm3) or milliliters (mL). Density is measured in grams per milliliter.

  5. Basic Measurement Prefixes* Kilo = 1000 Deci = 1/10th or 0.1 Centi= 1/100thor 0.01 Milli = 1/1000th or 0.001

  6. Basic Measurement Equations* Area (A) = Length x Width Volume (V) = L x W x Height Density (p) = Mass/Volume

  7. Area, Volume and Density Tape or glue this sheet underneath your notes on volume, area, density, and prefixes.
