Enterprise GIS Steering Committee • Executive Level Enterprise GIS Leadership Committee • Reports to BTS Board • Senior Executive level members representing all key GIS stake holders. • Established through a formal resolution. • Responsible for determining ongoing GIS work priorities and service level agreements for Enterprise Data maintenance services etc. • Responsible for securing funding for GIS initiatives through established BCC budget processes and State and Federal grant programs where possible. • Enterprise GIS Coordinator • Reports to Enterprise GIS Steering Committee. • Enterprise GIS “Thought Leader”. • BTS administered position. • Responsible for the execution of prioritized GIS initiatives and GIS service level agreements as directed by the EGSC. • Supervises GIS Services Bureau staff. • Collaborates with BTS GIS Development resources.

  5. GIS Specialists Team Responsible for maintaining critical Enterprise data in accordance with predefined service level agreements. Sample Enterprise Data Sets: Enterprise GIS Services Bureau • Road Centerlines • Parcels • Addresses • Zoning • Land use • Annexations • Emergency Management • Aerial Photographs • NPDES • TIF Districts • CIP Data • Navigations Zones • Responsible for establishing and maintaining Enterprise GIS data standards. • Available to support special analysis, research and reporting. • Responsible for GIS “consumer” user support and training • Potential to also support Enterprise CADD users

Enterprise GIS Development and Support • BTS technologists focused on support and development activities as defined by GIS Steering Committee. • Responsible for all GIS applications, internal and public for all GIS stake holders. • Responsible for all GIS application and database administration. • Includes all desktop, web and mobile GIS applications. • Potential to also support Enterprise CADD environment

  7. Next Steps • Establish Enterprise GIS Steering Committee • Appoint GIS Coordinator • Consolidate resources to form GIS Services Bureau and GIS Development & Support resource pool.
