Spain is in Western Europe. • Spain is twice as large as our state of Oregon. • The Pyrenees Mountains separate Spain from France. • The Mediterranean Sea lies to the east; Portugal and the Atlantic ocean lie to the west. • Summers are dry and hot, often over 100 degrees. Winters are cloudy and cold.
