Attribute: The setting of the story and objects in the story show it is historical fiction. “ got the pants up and said ‘ A guy just came by and said somebody dropped a bomb on Joey’s church’” (183) “ Dad went out to try and get the Brown Bomber started. That was what we called our car. It was a 1948 Plymouth that was dull brown and real big.” (6) “ until a week later when Dad brought home the TT AB-700 in the Brown Bomber.” (99)

The Watsons Go to Birmingham- 1963 was a good example of Historical Fiction. The Watsons go to Birmingham is a good example of Historical Fiction because it showed a real event in the bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church on September 15th,1963 but all of the main characters were fiction. Also it showed objects that really did excitest in the 1960’s. It showed what life was like during the Civil Right Movement without any of the real Historical Figures being mentioned.
