  4. Other Common Mistakes • Many people do not run spell cheak before delivering the presentation. This is a BIG MISTAK! Nothing makes you look stupider than spelling erers. • A red line means you have spelled it wrong!

  5. Bullets • Avoid • Excessive • Bulleting • Only • Bullet • Key points • Too many • Bullet points • And • Your • Key messages • Will not • Stand Out • In fact • The term • Bullet point • Comes from • People • Pointing • Guns • At • Annoying • Presenters

  6. Bad Colour Schemes • Clashing background and text colours can lead to: • Distraction • Confusion • Headache • Vomiting • Loss of bladder control

Plagiarism • Plagiarism is defined in dictionaries as "the wrongful appropriation, close imitation, or purloining and publication, of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions, and the representation of them as one's own original work."[1][2] The modern concept of plagiarism as immoral and originality as an ideal emerged in Europe only in the 18th century, while in the previous centuries authors and artists were encouraged to "copy the masters as closely as possible" and avoid "unnecessary invention."[3][4][5][6][7] • The 18th century new morals have been institutionalized and enforced prominently in the sectors of academia and journalism, where plagiarism is now considered academic dishonesty and a breach of journalistic ethics, subject to sanctions like expulsion and other severe career damages. • Cutting and pasting and not citing the source is plagiarism.   12. When Possible… • Add Relevant Multimedia clips • Keep in mind that many links are blocked! • Though not necessary, use a template

  13. Adding a Movie Downloading RealPlayer will allow you to save YouTube Movies! This is a good idea. 

  14. Always • Finish with a bibliography • Sometimes this needs to be formal • At the very least show your sources!
