What does this have to do with counseling? • Counselors can: • Help you look at problems in a different way, so that together you can come up with an appropriate solution. • Provide you with support and encouragement so that you don’t give up. • Help you learn how to answer questions. • Do you ask other peers in your class? • Go on your phone or computer to do research? • Ask an adult?

Transcripts • A permanent record of all grades and credits. • Includes: • Credits that are awarded to a student. • Earned when a class has been successfully passed. • At Southwest, every time you pass a quarter class, you receive 0.75 credits. • Class rank. • Where a student’s GPA falls in relation to all of the students in their graduation class. • GPA. • Grade Point Average • How is it calculated?
