  2. EMPLOYABILITY The ability to use services to gain a wage or salary.

  3. ASPECTS OF EMPLOYABILITY • Your purpose and goal is to enhance your personal traits to become employable through the process of your training program. The aspects or characteristics needed include the following areas of development:

  4. HAVE A GOOD WORK ETHIC-- A DAY’S WORKFOR A DAY’S PAY

  5. PRIDE • Have the ability to feel good about yourself, your work, your appearance, etc.

  6. RESPONSIBILITY • Accept responsibility for your own actions and for the job you are expected to do.

  7. ATTITUDE • An attitude is a mental state. Make sure yours is positive, not negative!

  8. SAFETY • Always be aware of the need to perform your job so that no one gets hurt. Always work safely.

  9. LOYALTY AND COMMITTMENT • Be dedicated to your job.

  10. PROBLEM SOLVING • Be able to use critical thinking skills—instead of hit-and-miss guesses—use a systematic approach.

  11. BE ABLE TO FOLLOW MULTIPLE DIRECTIONS • First, second, third, after that……

  12. BE ABLE TO MOTIVATE YOURSELF

  13. BE MATURE • That way you are able to care for others instead of being taken care of.

  14. BE SKILLED • In whatever job you choose.
