  1. What’s Your Pitch Pitch: : to present or advertise especially in a high-pressure way : plug, promote b : to attempt to persuade especially with a sales pitch c : to present (a movie or program idea) for consideration (as by a TV producer)

  2. In & Out Coffee Ministry A Case Study • Worlds Perspective of What We are Doing • Trying to sell me something • Promoting a campaign • Fund Raiser • Making money • Because I’m Nice??????? • They want me to go to church • Nothing is ever free, and if it is too good to be true it probably is

  3. Kingdom Perspective • Luke 19:11-27 Parable of the Kingdom of God • Luke 19:13 “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come.” NKJV • Luke 19:15-"And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. NKJV

  4. Kingdom Perspective Continued • We believe it matters that we are there! (1 Cor 4:19 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.) Luke 19:11- • Sowing into the harvest 1 cor 3:5-8, john 4:35-38 • People actually enjoy the ministry • Salt in earth Matt 5:13 • Additional thoughts

  5. Things We are Learning 2 Cor 4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. Additional Scriptures: John 8:12, Acts 26:18

  6. Things We Are Learning Continued • People notice that we are there • People really do want to wave • People like the coffee but they prefer the prayer • People expect us to be there • Some people just can’t believe that we aren’t looking for something • There are barriers to break down before we can get to the hearts of people • People make a decision to stop • God heals, speaks to and visits people • There are much bigger things going on spiritually than what we see • People don’t know that the church is a place of free prayer

  7. Impacting Testimonies • Young man who made a decision to finally come for prayer, got a word and a job was released. • Woman who decided stopping for prayer was more important than her meeting for breakfast • Woman who had avoided us for days finally decided she “just needed prayer” • The U-turn and the drive around the lot • The sign carries the message and brings the people • Young man who saw the sign was desperate for prayer came into the church.

  8. Closing Facts and Conclusions • We have ministered to over 50+ people as of last Friday • People are welcoming our presence, we have not been kicked off the property, nor asked to leave • Matthew 9:9, Mark 2:13-17, Luke 5:27-32 • Bringing people face to face with the reality of what the church is called to do. • There is no “pitch”
