Arts/ Reading • Cooper Notebook • 3 hole spiral notebook • loose leaf paper – dividers with pockets • 3 folders with pockets • blue/black ink pens • colored ink pens for revisions • Highlighters -Tissues - REC FLASHDRIVE • All students are required to wear the Cooper Uniform.

  14. Think of a person in your life who wants the best for you. In what ways do they support you? In what ways does their support help you? Does their support may make things harder for you? Explain and describe your relationship . Be sure to demonstrate the writing process.

NEWS HOMEWORK • Due every Friday. • First assignment due Friday, September 10, 2010 • Students are to view, listen or read about current events that impact the our community, state, national, or world. • Be sure to view events on business, economics, education, politics. • Students will write a 150 word composition, reflecting on the particular events and how those events impact their lives or the lives of others. • Each Reflective Composition must contain the following information: Who, what, where, when, why, and the significance or importance of the event.

SEEE method for Paragraph development • S- make a statement in reference to the question or the writing prompt. • E –expand on the statement, add more details • E – examples – give supporting details or examples or evidence that support your statement • E – elaboration – closing sentences or clinching statement – leave the reader with something to think about.   47. Quick-write # 1 If you could live in another country for six months, what country would you choose? How do you think living there would be different from where you are living now? Using the SEEE method of pargraph development, write a well-developed paragraph explaining your choice. Be sure to include a method of introduction to begin your response.
