  1. Fun Things To Do When You Are In Barbados

  2. Barbados is unique. It is really a tropical haven much like its neighbors in the Eastern Caribbean. Originally an island for King James, Barbados has remained a stately island, rich in cultural history, and still uniquely British in feel. Diverse in nature and visually remarkable, from the pristine underwater world, to the lush hillside, to historic churches, the island divides itself into an eastern and western side, with the latter comprising many of the established, elegant accommodations. Once you find the perfect villa accommodations in Barbados you’re free to enjoy a lot of fun things.

  3. Taste the favorite beverage of the island: Rum is the Caribbean drink of choice, and Mount Gay, the globe’s oldest rum distillery, has been making the smooth libation in Barbados since 1703. Take a trip of the Mount Gay Visitors Centre, just north of Bridgetown, to know more about the history of rum-making, the process, the equipment used…and then check out the tasting room. Swim with the turtles: Hawskbill & leatherback sea turtles feed and nest in the clear, serene waters along the west coast of Barbados, and manytour operators will take you offshore to swim with these amazing, friendly creatures.

  4. Dance to Island music: When night falls, people sink to St. Lawrence Gap on the south coast or to Holetown on the west (“Platinum”) coast where bars & clubs can be found in large numbers. “The Gap” is a long crescent road off the main highway lined with hotels, eateries, and shops, such as Bubba’s Sports Bar, The Old Jamm Inn. In Holetown, 1st and 2nd streets (off the main highway) are lined with restaurants & bars like Red Door Lounge and Duke’s Night Lounge.
