New Timeline Implemented in June 2005 Indices calculated by NCDC and placed online by 7th Canada merges USDM weekly shapefiles with Canadian first-guess shapefiles by 8th and sends to primary author Miguel prepares Mexico drought depiction in .jpg format by 8th and e-mails to primary author who creates NADM depiction for Mexico Text discussion sent from Mexico and Canada by 14th Peer-review of NADM map until finalized and placed online by 16th

    4. For the Future Short-term Add Canada to primary author rotation (Feb 06) Transition US from divisional to station data Increase number of stations reporting from Canada ?? Mid-term Provide updated indicator maps on a weekly basis Data Issues (Formats, Ingest/Processing, Automation) Make Canadian depiction fully operational Add Mexico to primary author rotation ?? Long-term Improve Timeliness of monthly product Transition to a weekly product
