  2. Information and Communication Infrastructure as a Precondition for a Successful eGovernment • Part one: • Common host infrastructure • Common government network • PKI services • Part two: • Interoperability issues • Reference registers • Application architecture framework • Future developments

  3. Common host infrastructure – 5 dedicated environments • IBM Mainframe for Transaction orientedapplications (with relational database and J2EE app. server) • eGovernment server infrastructure – Linux/Solaris based systems with relational databases and J2EE app. Servers • CMS for government web sites (Typo3 cluster) • LAMP cluster for diverse web sites • Linux clusters for eMail HUB and Lotus Notes eMail backbone • All together 3 x 430 Amps.

  4. Common government network - HKOM • Government intranet: • 800 Locations • 1600 LAN’s • 30.000 Users/workstations • 1 Gbit/s connection to internet • 50 Mbit/s -> traffic to internet • 150 Mbit/s <- traffic from internet • 0,8 Gbyte/s <-> Input/Output traffic to backbone
