  2. The Vision • Create a MapquestTM for bikes • Input from 2001 MTC Bicycle Plan and 511 focus groups • Discover and use new routes • BikeMapper as the signature feature for the 511.orgbicycling webpage • 1,500 visits per week

  3. The Process Integrated Mapping Plan • Plan for MTC’s online mapping needs • Created a two-phase development program • Generates BikeMapper cost estimates • Phase 1, $60,000 • Phase 2, $160,000

  4. The Process cont. • Data collection • 101 Cites • 9 Counties • Park Districts • and… • Result – data in various formats to create one continuous data layer
