  2. Passive Transport- Osmosis In osmosis water molecules move across a permeable membrane. They move from high concentration to low concentration. It doesn’t use energy from the cell.

  4. Important to Plant Cells- Osmosis Osmosis is important to plant cells because it helps the plant leaves to swell and become turgid. The cell wall keeps it from bursting. When they become turgid it helps the green parts of the plant to stand up in the sunlight to go through photosynthesis.

  5. Active Transport- Exocytosis Active transport is when molecules move against the concentration gradient. This uses energy from the cell. Exocytosis is when it pushes the molecules out of the cell.

  7. Important to Plant Cells- Exocytosis A new plasma membrane is delivered. Polysaccharides are delivered.
