  3. EQUALITY • Equality is a peculiar characteristic. • Inequality exists in our ambiance. • No two people can be alike. • Interpersonal communication is more effective when the atmosphere is one of equality.

  4. What does the two sentences give you an idea about? • When will you learn to phone for reservation? Must I do every thing? One of us should .. Do you want me to or you want to do it yourself? b) When are you going to bring the books? Its getting too late? How about we go together and bring the books?

  5. DIFFERENCES • sentence A shows that one person is demanding for observance and the other is quite negligent. • Where as sentence B shows equality and an open desire for working mutually.

  6. EQUAL INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS • Arguments make you understand differences. • Disagreements and conflicts give an opportunity to resolve problems. • Showing concern for others even if you disagree. • Avoid one down positioning. • Avoid interruption with the other. • Appreciate and give respect to others. • Avoid corrections in others when of little effect. • Avoid showing dominancy.
