  1. Major techniques of 3D Architectural Modling 3D modeling is much like making a sculpture, but digitally. High end softwares like Maya, 3DS Max, SoftImage, etc, are used in order to give depth and sculpture to the model. Once the architectural 3D model is ready, it can then be used as it is or can be further used to create architectural animations. Rayvat engineering is one such outsourcing firm that works on these various 3D modeling softwares and techniques. So basically each model is made up of small polygons. The software's help the 3D artist to use tools that would help him/her to create the polygonal model. There are number of modeling techniques that the artist can use. Some of which, we will discuss here. One of the most basic technique used is called the primitive modeling. Since it is basic, it has various drawbacks as well. Using various primitives like boxes, spheres, the artist alters them to his/her requirement. This technique could be used for innate objects like building exteriors, furnitures, etc, but would not do good with live models. The next technique is the NURBS Modeling technique or the Non Uniform Rational B Spline. This modeling technique is based on a math curve which is created using equations. These curves are quite flexible and the designer uses them to model it to the desired shape. Separate curves are then joined to create a 3D image. Later editing for models created using this technique becomes quite difficult. Another widely accepted modeling technique is called surface modeling. The artist, in this modeling technique, creates a cage profile, then a surface modifier is added it which creates a 3D surface. Since this method can be used to create various types of structures, it can be used for many different modeling assignments. One of the complex modeling technique is the polygonal modeling technique, which is so versatile as it could be used in both organic and non organic modeling. In this architectural 3D modeling technique, the artist draws the shape of the model and the polygon gets subdivided to create a 3D shape. Once this is done, the model’s surface can be smoothed out in order to make it more realistic using smoothing modifier. Rayvat’s 3D artists are well versed in these and many other architectural 3D models. No matter which technique is used, it ultimately boils down to the experience and the creativity of the 3D artist. Rayvat ensures that it chooses only the best to work with them in order to provide the best services to our clients. Contact us in order to know more about our Architectural 3D Modeling Services
