  2. Presenting Your Project • The DISPLAY BOARD is probably the most familiar part of a Science Project. This tri-fold board will show off all your hard work so you want it to be professional. This power point offers several tips for its design and construction. • Borders (not necessary) • Lettering (Neat-not hand written) • Matting (adds color and fills “white space”) Limit colors • Table/s & Graph/s(large/full size) • Photos (all with proper caption) • Reformatting text size…Filling up space (Notice layout) • Use diagram on handout for proper placement • Small Display boards available for Free • A bit larger boards can be purchased at stores such as Staples, Office Depot, Michaels (about $3-5) • Colored, and Extra Thick boards also available at stores.

Basic Set-Up Purpose Subtitle INLUDE ALL PARTS REQUIRED Follow the correct Order (organized) Professional Looking All typed/Sticker letters ok Reformatted work from your report (18 font or larger if possible Single spaced is OKAY Colorful Straight Cut Lines Good Gluing Technique (NO TAPE) Symmetrical Limited White Space Problem Data Graph/s Table/s Survey’s if applicable Photo’s

For a Good Display Board • Display board include: • Title & Subtitle • Purpose • Problem (in the form of a Question) • Hypothesis • Materials list • Procedure • Data: table(s) & graph(s) & Pictures (all properly labeled) • Results • Conclusion • What does not go on the boardOn the Table with the Board • Name, school, teacher, etc… Journal • Pictures with faces Abstract • Abstract Report • Research report/Sources • Things hanging off
