  1. Merit BItcointalk Merit bitcointalk is made to reduce the shitposters and spammers in the forum as the forum is filled with the people who do not post good quality contents.

  2. How Merit Works • Merit is a point-based system that allows you to both receive and send merit points. The main gist of it is, that you can award people merit if they've written a post that you deem helpful or just good quality. • When you receive merit points on one of your posts, you can also spend half of them on other members' posts.

  3. ADVANTAGES - • 1. It was created to avoid from spammers, account farmers and shitposters. • 2. It was made to encourage everyone in the forum to make a good quality post and comment.  • 3. It's hard to have merit but I think if we've been merited by someone, we will look for it again. That one merit will fuel us to make quality posts every single time here in the forum. • 4. It's not a cause for losing interest but it's a way to motivate yourself to improve what you do here. Rank does not matter but the way you get that rank really matter. • 5. You will be proud of yourself and this will serve as an achievement and proof that you're doing good in this community.

  4. DISADVANTAGES - • 1. For newbie/brand new member, it will be difficult for them to raise ranks especially they have less experience in composing good quality threads or comments. • 2. Newbie will also find it difficult to participate in quality airdrops and bounties where there are some required rank for it. • 3. This is one of the reasons for people losing interest in digital currencies. Newbie feels they have lost the right to rank especially in today's situation. • 4. We all know that in digital currencies there are "farmers" to call. They abused the forum to earn money. So I think they are more affected on this.
