  15. Data Analysis Tabulation Migrating to cross-tabulation Triangulation Incorporate a correlation matrix in order for us to report noted and observed correlations between multiple variables.

  16. Six Sigma Factors • LWOT times can be reduced by over 10% • Sigma cert. staff have developed specific skill sets • Sigma staff approach workers, gather their input • Workers processes are quantified; teams then look for waste • Research must determine the % of Six Sigmas at Doctors

  17. Study Limitations Honest responses and interviews from Doctors Hospital Associates. Resolution: Allow ample time to gain survey participants trust and ensure anonymity. Be respectful of privacy during interviews. Additionally, gaining permission to distribute surveys could prove a challenge.

  18. Significance of Study Recommendations will be multi-fold: Implemention in a manner that enables the ER staff and patients to experience improved throughput during the initial stages of urgent care. Continue gaining feedback from well-designed patient comment forms and exit questionnaires; we believe Doctors Hospital will want to remain involved in the Press Ganey Pulse Reports (Press Ganey, 2010).

  19. Outcomes • Management receives details of patient flow • Managers highlight underlying issues not previously discussed • Split Patient Flow (SPF) is a major factor & affects studied further
