Individual Unrestricted Giving Membership General membership: $55 - $1,499 Loren Eiseley Leadership Giving Society: $1,500 - $25,000 plus Young Friends: free add on for young professionals group at any level of membership Annual Fund Only general members solicited 68% of Annual Fund gifts made by members

  4. A Mutually Beneficial Relationship: • Stewardship • Cultivation • Solicitation

  5. Stewardship: Weekly Gift Report • All gifts reported on from week prior • Research through Wealth Engine • Stewardship phone calls • “Suspect Meetings”

  6. Stewardship:Phone Calls • Began calling regularly 3 years ago • Rejoins, upgrades, Penn affiliations, members at $150 and above • At least two upgrades to LES in last two years and other conversations that led to Major Gift prospects • Plus, a great deal of good will

  7. Stewardship:1887 Society • Members or donors for 10 or more consecutive years • Dual purpose: stewardship and planned giving prospecting • Created almost six years ago • Annual reception along with members of our planned giving society

  8. 1887 Society • 561 Households are currently recognized • 83 or almost 15% of these members are about to celebrate 25 years of membership • Over 60% of our 1887 Society members have been members for over 20 years • 30 new planned giving donors to date • Two of these donors were for three or more Charitable Gift Annuities of $10,000 or more

Cultivation:“Drinks with the Director” Events • Intimate events (10-25 people) in Director’s Office • Staffed by Major Gift Officers and myself • Strategic follow up • Five upgrades to Loren Eiseley Society, one upgrade to Benefactor level ($750), and one exhibition sponsorship plus advanced relationships with many other prospects

  10. Cultivation:Director’s Council • Volunteer advisory council to the Museum • Prospect pool for future Board of Overseers members or engagement for former Board of Overseers members • $2,500 required annual Loren Eiseley Society membership so increases membership revenue

  11. Cultivation:Director’s Council • $44,500 raised in membership dues from Director’s Council members last year • One member cultivated from my stewardship call in last three years • Two incoming former Young Friends Board members

  12. Solicitation • Major Gifts team builds Loren Eiseley Society gift into major gift solicitations • Annual solicitation to Board of Overseers for membership gift
