  3. Luminous Sources A luminous source is an object that can create light. Let’s see how many we can name in 90 seconds!

  4. Luminous Sources The most important luminous source is the sun. Others include: • Fire • Electric Lights • Fireworks • Lightning

  5. Non-Luminous Objects Non-luminous objects do not create light. So how are we able to see them? We can see non-luminousobjects because of the lightreflected off of them.

Which are fact and which are opinion? • Light travels in straight lines. • An object has to be luminous to be visible. • Luminous objects give off light because they are hot. • If you close your eyes then the universe may not exist until you open them. • When you look at something, light travels from your eyes to the object.
