  3. Here’s an example • I dog • R1 fetch a. Jump b. bring back • R2 protect a. bark b. bite • R3 playful a. run b. roll • C dog Fetch, protect, and play are three reasons why I love dogs so much. I think dogs are one of the greatest animals in the world. As you can see, these animals are one of a kind.

  4. Re-state your three reasons • This is where you simply tell your reader the three reasons why you chose that topic. You want to name those three reasons just like you did in the introduction, just in a different way. • ________, ________, and ________ are the reasons I like _______. • _________ is the greatest because ________, ________, and _______.

  5. Thought/Feeling sentence • This is just a thought about what you think about your topic, how you feel about the topic, or how the topic makes you feel. • I think my mom is the best mother in the world. • I think basketball is the greatest sport ever. • I think Disney World is the best place ever. • My mom makes me feel like I’m the most special girl in the world. • I feel like every child should be able to have a dog as a pet.

  6. The ending sentence • This is the last sentence of your essay. This sentence sums it all up. Leave your reader with something to think about. There are many different ways to write this sentence. • Doesn’t this make you want to visit Disney World? • At the end of the day, I thank my mom for being such a great person.
