  1. Personal Hygiene

  2. Getting ready to cook Tie long hair back. Remove jewellery, nail varnish or watches when preparing food. Wear a clean apron over your clothing. Thoroughly wash and dry your hands before starting work. Remove jumpers and roll up long sleeves.

  3. While Cooking Avoid touching your face or hair. Wash your hands regularly, especially after handling raw foods, blowing your nose, touching the bin and using the toilet. Do not cough or sneeze over food and wash your hands afterwards.

  4. While Cooking Avoid directly handling or touching foods, use tongs or utensils whenever possible. Cover cuts and sores with a waterproof dressing. Never handle food if you are suffering from a stomach upset or skin infection. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly after touching raw food, handling waste or after having visited the toilet.
