  2. My Problem • Jennifer went to a pet store and bought a dog for $500.How much would it cost to buy 5 dogs?

  3. My equation • Y=500(x) or f(x)=500(x)

  4. Variables And functions ? • Y depends on x • My independent variable is the amount of dogs Jennifer wants to buy. • My dependent variable is the amount of money it`s going to cost to buy the dogs. • This is a function. • All x’s are different.

  5. Domain and Range • Domain- The domain is all of the x values. • Range-The range is all of the y values. • Domain-1,2,3,4,5 • Range-500,1000,1500,2000,2500 • The domain is continuous all the x values are different and it form a straight line along the x axis.

  8. MY REAL WORLD PROBLEM • Jennifer went to a pet store and bought a dog for 500 dollars. How much would it cost to buy 5 dogs? • It would cost $2,500 to buy 5 dogs.
