  2. Factsheet (example) Solar tubes Description: A reflective tube that goes from the roof of a building to an interior room, allowing sunlight into the room. Pros: Lets natural light into a building, decreasing the use of electricity. Cons: Difficult to properly insulate. Implementation: A hole is cut in the roof and the ceiling and a tube is run between them. Cost: $179 to $423, depending upon size.
