  4. Current Graduation Requirements 4 years of English 3 years of Social Studies 3 years of Mathematics 3 years of Science 1 year of a World Language 1 year of a Fine Art 1 year of a Practical Art 4 years of Health/ Physical Education 1/2 year of Personal Finance & Literacy or Economics

  5. The Transcript • A student’s transcript is reflective of the strength of the academic program of the school. • The student’s transcript is reflective of a student’s complete (9-12) profile. • The student’s transcript reflects his/her 6 Semester Grade Point Average (GPA)

  12. 11th Grade • Research and visit colleges • Take advantage of college rep visits at JCHS • Take the SAT or ACT in the Spring • Counselor Meeting to develop 12th grade schedule and discuss college plans

Summer before 12th Grade • Visit college websites for applications, financial aid, deadlines and to schedule a campus visit • Early Decision, Early Action, Restricted Early Action, Priority , Regular Decision, or Rolling • Register for Fall SAT or ACT if needed • Begin college applications and essays as soon as possible!!
