Objective: to provide capacity building and assistance to European cities to develop and implement strategies to adapt to climate change, to connect cities with similar problems and provide support (training, exchange of experiences, etc.) to develop a strategy to adapt to climate change, as the ultimate goal. Working group on Climate Change, have been formed, includes all stakeholders.

  9. Installation of solar system and gas installation in the Sport Centre Višnjik 96 vacuum tube collectors have been installed on the roof of the swimming pool for hot water preparation. Reconstruction of the existing boiler room which currently uses fuel oil for use of natural gas. Annual savings : 636.000,00 kn Expected reduction of CO2: 223 t

  10. Public lighting At 10 electric substations regulatory mechanism have been set. This mechanism reduces the voltage supply from 24.00 to 6.00 in the morning (from 220-240V to 190 V), thereby reducing the intensity of light. Achieved savings in energy consumption 25%

  11. Energy audits and energy certifications

  12. Encouraging the citizens to implement energy efficiency projects City announcespublictenders: - installationofsolar systems for waterheating - termalinsulationandinstallationof energy efficient windows - installationofstove on wood biomass - reconstructionofexistingheatingsistems on a sistem wich use gas inresidentialbuildings

  13. Currently, the project of gasification of Dalmatia region is underway The gas distribution network will be built up in parts of the counties of Zadar (the cities of Zadar, Biograd na Moru and parts of the city of Benkovac), Šibenik-Knin (the cities of Sibenik, Drnis, Knin, Vodice, Bilice, Tribunj, Pirovac, Tisno and Murter-Kornati) and Split-Dalmatia (the cities of Split, Solin, Kaštela, Trogir and parts of the municipalities of Dugopolje, Klis and Segel) It is planned to build up 1,450 kilometers of gas network in total which will usher gas to end users In this way about 130,000 customers will be supplied by natural gas among which are a numerous public institutions, commercial and industrial enterprises and households The total investment in this region reaches the total of approximately € 105 million Project of gasification of the Dalmatia region
