  2. What was the purpose of this ad?

  3. The purpose of this ad is to raise awareness about the amount of unhealthy kids in America. Also, to show kids are relying more on television and other electronics for entertainment other than physical activity.

  4. Who is the intended audience?

  5. Who is intended audience? • The audience of this ad would be anyone interested in children's health. Specifically parents of children who do not get enough exercise or always stay indoors.

  6. What would happen if thewords were taken out of the picture?

  7. If the words were taking out of the picture the purpose would be gone. The picture would just be a caution sign with someone watching television and we would not be aware of what the sign was warning us.

  8. When do you think the picture was taken?

  9. The picture was taken in 1992 when child obesity and child heart problems were first becoming a problem in our society. During this time The American Heart Association really tried to advertise what a big deal this was becoming.

  10. Ethical Appeal?

  11. The American Heart Association logo in the bottom right corner makes the source credible. The American heart Association is credible because it is an organization with intentions of raising heart health awareness and bettering the well being of our society.

  12. Logical Appeal?

  13. In the photograph it is illogical for a caution sign to have a child watching TV in it. It is logical for us to be engaged in the effects of child obesity.

  14. Emotional Appeal?

  15. This ad makes us feel bad for kids who are always staying indoors and not getting any physical activity. It makes us realize that kids are always playing; however, in our generation kids aren't getting the necessary daily activity.
