Inputs from Prof.Muller • He is a Chair ofCEOS-WGCV "Terrain mapping sub-group“ • His interest in this task is to advance the cause of creating a global 30m DEM of the land surface and the continental shelves. • Through the collaboration with the Chair of CEOS-WGISS "Global Datasets Task Team", Lorant Czaran (UN HQ, New York) • to advance this project on a number of different fronts including; • (a) release of SRTM DTED-2; • (b) merger of SRTM and ASTER • (Ihave done extensive work on this and plan to do a great deal more incollaboration with USGS-EDC); • (c) discussions with senior management at USGS-EDC concerning systematic versions of (b)
