  4. Hominids • Hominids- anthropoids the evolved into humans. • Characteristics separating humans from gorillas • S-shaped spine. • Spinal cord attaches to bottom of skull. • Bipedal • Bowl shaped pelvis

  7. Early Homo sapiens • Cro-Magnon- similar to modern humans, vertical forehead, no eyebrow ridge, prominent chin, tall. Developed language, culture, social structure, and tools.
