We'll be celebrating the URC's national theme of "Feasts and Festivals" with various activities and workshops. Be part of this memorable event on Saturday, July 1st, 2017, at The Burgate School in Fordingbridge, Hants.   1. A fun and celebratory day out for everyone associated with United Reformed Churches in the South West and Wessex Synods. Saturday 1st July 2017 The Burgate School, Fordingbridge, Hants 10am  4pm. The Big Day Out

Our Themes “Feasts and Festivals” - the URC’s national theme for 2017 500 years since the Lutheran Reformation 100 years since the ordination of Constance Coltman, the first female Congregational minister 45 years since the URC was formed 80 years since Pilots started….. and 25 years since Commitment for Life began

  3. What will happen on the Day? We will celebrate, have fun, think about our inheritance and learn about our fellow churches. We will meet others and spend time together. There will be a Closing act of Worship with a celebration of Communion

  4. Activities will include Craft Activities & Flag Making Drama & Street Dance Godly Play Bread making Talks, Seminars and Discussion Based Workshops Exhibitions Live music Sports and Games

  5. Catering at the venue Bring a picnic lunch There are places for you to sit down at a table Free tea, coffee, and soft drinks will be provided There will not be food on sale at the venue

  6. The Location – Burgate School Well equipped venue Modern buildings with comfortable seating Green spaces which we can use All on a level site - no stairs Limited car parking at the school We advise as many people as possible to travel on the coaches

  7. The Programme Event starts 10:00 Sessions 10:30 – 11:20 11:30 – 12:20 12:40 – 13:30 13:40 – 14:30 Celebration Worship 15:00 – 16:00

  8. How do we get to Big Day Out? TICKETS – booking forms have been sent to every church Adult ticket entry with transport: £18.00 (coach seat for the journeys to /from the venue) Young Person’s ticket (5 – 16 years) entry with transport: £12.00 (coach seat) Adult ticket entry only: £8.00 (for people making their own travel arrangements) Young Person’s ticket entry only: £4.00

  9. Coach Stops These will depend on the numbers of tickets sold for different churches. Please let us know early so that we can plan the most effective selection of pickup points.
