  7. Withitness • Awareness of what’s going on in all parts of the classroom at all times. • “Having eyes in the back of the head.” • Students know that your watching them like a hawk. • Keeping your "back to the wall“. • Timing

  9. Overlapping • Overlapping is attending to two or more events at the same time. • Working multiple stations or groups. • Students tend to stay on task.

  10. Transitions • Smoothness and effectiveness. • Focusing on key points. • Time management. • Well-established routines. • Consistent signals.

  11. Group Alerting • The ability to keep groups focused on the task. • Maximizes active participation and keeps students engaged in learning. • Holding students be accountable. • Check for understanding. • Call on students randomly.

  12. Satiation • Maintaining Interest and Involvement. • Providing students with a feeling of progress. • Offering students challenges throughout the lesson. • Being enthusiastic. • Using a variety of teaching styles.
