Overall Description Reporting to the Education and Quality Manager you are the backbone for developing, evaluating and coordinating educational content with a brand that has a consistent track record of success. You will use your natural teaching intuition to plan, organize and write primarily web-based and animated content within a defined curricula and regulatory requirements. If you take initiative, write creatively and have excellent organization and planning skills – you are one step closer to joining our team.

Creative Communicator, Educational Programs Coordinator Position Duties and Responsibilities Ability to keep up-to-date on the latest developments in regulations for each of the organization’s business lines Design courses based on specific regulations, instructional objectives and strict curricula Create course content to meet the needs to the business, industry and the public Assist in conducting market research and company requirement assessment Assist in the development and maintenance of ongoing relationships with external stakeholders and regulatory agencies Take a defined project management approach to prepare, plan and organize educational content development. Maintain an up-to-date file of regulations per province/state for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and audit trail Produce and submit reports to regulatory agencies on an ongoing and timely basis Assist in development of long and short term plans for updating educational course content (new courses/programs, instructional materials, multimedia, etc.) Specific abilities required to perform the functions of the job include: adapting to changing work priorities, meeting deadlines and schedules, setting priorities, working with detailed information/data. Minimum Education and Work Experience Bachelor of Education, preferred; or Creative Writing/English Degree, strong asset Practical experience creating curriculums orcourse materials is mandatory Experience in recreational outdoor pursuits (such as boating) an asset Project Management certification, strong asset Other Requirements Excellent written communication skills Excellent independent problem-solving capability Strong project management, organizational and planning skills Ability to determine priorities, be self-directed and work within tight deadlines The ability to adapt to any situation, uphold a stress-free demeanor, and use sound judgment to make decisions Good working proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point is mandatory Experience and working proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop an asset Criminal Record Check
