NID-OID Standardization & Registration • ITU-T X.668(2008.5) & ISO/IEC 9834-9(2008.12) • - Title : Information technology – Open Systems Interconnection – Procedures for the operation of OSI Registration Authorities:Registration of object identifier arcs for applications and services using tag-based identification - The standards established jointly(ITU-T, ISO/IEC) - Scope : the procedures for operating the Registration Authority for object identifiers under the arc {joint-iso-itu- t(2) tag-based(27)} • The Standard provides for the registration of OID arcs which enable identification schemes for applications and services that use tag-based identification - for Mobile RFID service in Korea to identify ID schemes

[Info.] Criteria for acceptance • Technical judgement : supporting one or more tag-based applications or services • Standard : In a publicly available specification produced by a standardization body recognized by ITU-T, ISO or IEC, or by an internationally recognized consortium • Schedule : The timescale within which the relevant identification scheme is to be applied within applications or services • Applications or services : Those are requested shall be applications or services which require interchange between multiple vendors in an open environment • Submit : the administrative role for the RA(NIDA)

  7. Registration Procedure 2. NID-OID Standardization & Registration 1. Register in website (nid.oid.kr) by NIDA 2. NIDA examines the application and sends it to the chairman 3. The chairman inITU-T SG17 Q12 and ISO/IEC JTC1 WG9decides the application accepted or rejected in the technical judgment 4. The chairman sends a registration announcementto NIDA 5. NIDA requests system administrator to reflect oid-info.com 6. Completion See next pages in detail Completion
