Global Library of Core Components for XML Interoperability

This project aims to analyze OAGIS 8.0 and identify candidate core components based on strategic XML vocabularies. It aims to create a single, global library of core components that can be used by all XML vocabularies, reducing integration costs and establishing OAGIS as a global open standard. The project team consists of 68 individuals representing various organizations.

Project Overview • Analyze OAGIS 8.0 and identify candidate core components based on ebXML Core Components Technical Specification (CCTS), v1.90 • Harmonize core component definitions with current best practices and strategic XML vocabularies • Create XML Schema, UML Class Diagrams, and other supporting documentation for candidate core components • Submit candidate core components to OAGI and UN/CEFACT Core Component Library Committee

Project Benefits • Create a single, global library of core components that can be used by all XML vocabularies • Establish basis for interoperability across hundreds of disparate XML vocabulary standards • Reduce integration costs for any company supporting more than one XML vocabulary • Interoperability between OAGIS and partner organization vocabularies • Establish OAGIS as a global, open standard within the UN/CEFACT and EDI communities
