  1. How to Make a Tie-Blanket By: Lauren Powell

  2. Materials • Two pieces of fabric that are 2 ½ yards long and 2 yards wide each (typically fleece works the best, because it’s the most comfortable) • Fabric cutting scissors • Large floor or counter top to work on • A vacuum to clean-up afterwards

  3. Step 1 Once you have your two pieces of fabric you can wash them before working with them to minimize the mess afterwards, or just wash them after the blanket is all finished

  4. Step 2 and 3 #2 Find a large floor space or a big table to lay your pieces of fabric out #3 Get your fabric cutting scissors

  5. Step 4 and 5 #4 Lay out the first piece of fabric evenly on the floor #5 Cut along the edges of the fabric if it is uneven or frayed

  6. Step 6 Cut each corner of the fabric out, cutting 3-4 inches horizontally and vertically so that there aren’t any corners on the piece of fabric

  7. Step 7 Cut even slits 3-4 inches long and about 1 ½ to 2 inches wide on all four sides of the piece of fabric, do the same for the other piece of fabric . HINTit may help to lay each of the fabrics on top of one another to make sure you cut an even amount of slits to tie together at the end

  8. Step 8 Once you’ve cut both pieces of fabric, lay them on top of each other and start matching up each slit and tie together in a simple easy knot, be sure to tie the knots tight enough so that they don’t come apart

  9. Step 9 After you’re all done tying the blanket, you will find pieces and scraps of fabric all over. Usually a vacuum works best to clean up

  10. Now, to wrap things up
