  2. An odd shaped Christmas Tree

  3. Under this Christmas Tree are odd shaped gifts.

  4. One of these gifts lying quietly at the base of the Tree has an awkward protrusion. In fact, it lies there so quietly that its hush is captivating.

  5. On its wrapping paper is just one word: PEACE

  6. Nearby is an unusual shaped gift wrapped in bright wrapping paper. Everyone who looks at it is strangely compelled to smile and is distracted from their present worries and is taken by happiness.

  7. On its wrapping paper is just one word: JOY

  8. Behind this gift, near the base of the Tree is yet another odd-shaped gift. It juts out in the most unusual places.

  9. Looking at it stirs your heart. It draws you closer. You feel that whatever is inside is of immense value. Just looking at it causes you to feel secure.

  10. On its wrapping paper is just one word: LOVE

  11. These gifts appear connected to the Tree.

  12. In fact, upon closer examination, the gaps in the Tree are not random. Each gift slots perfectly into its gap in the Tree. And when placed back there, we see that in reality, the Tree and its gifts are one.

  13. You see, Jesus is the Tree.

  14. The Scriptures often picture Jesus as The Tree.

  15. In Genesis 2 and 3 He is pictured as The Tree of Life - from where all life’s real needs are limitlessly satisfied.

  16. Isaiah the Prophet also pictured Jesus as a tender young tree shoot (Isa. 11:1).

  17. The Apostle Paul says that Jesus is the Tree of Salvation in Romans 9, 10, 11.

  18. And the Scriptures close with beautiful picture of Jesus described as The Tree of Life, from which His leaves are “healing for the nations.”

  19. Not only is Jesus the Tree of Life...

  20. He is also the True Source of pure Peace, Joy, and Love.

  21. Not only is He healing for the nations...

  22. He is healing for your soul.

  23. And until your soul rests in Him it will ache.

  24. Jesus is the True Christmas Tree - the True Source of all life’s best gifts.

  25. Will you receive the gifts that He alone can offer you and for which your soul aches?
