  4. General Info The QM09 Conference Office in Room 301 C is open 8 AM -8 PM Sunday – Tuesday, + Thursday; 8 AM -7 PM Friday; and 8 AM – 2 PM Wednesday and Saturday. The Cyber Café in Room 200 D-E will have approximately the same opening hours. The Conference Office phone number is (865) 251 6440. After hours emergency phone number is (865) 386 7051. The phone numbers for the conference hotels are: Crowne Plaza: (865) 522-2600 Four Points (Cumberland House): (865) 971-4663 Hilton: (865) 523-2300 Holiday Inn Select Downtown: (865) 522-2800 We will have a local webserver in KCC for reasonably fast access to given talks. Pointers will be available from the main website: http://www.phy.ornl.gov/QM09/

Speaker Instructions We will have standard Windows (XP, with PPT 2007, and Adobe for PDFs) and Mac laptops (PPT 2008, Keynote 2009, and Adobe for PDFs) available for presentations in every session. No personal computers will be allowed for presentations. Talks will instead need to be uploaded and checked for problems with help from the conference support staff in the 'Speakers’ Corner' in the Conference Office (301 C). The talks should be handed off at least 2 hours before the session in which the talk is given (day before preferred for morning sessions; exception for rapporteurs). If late modifications/revisions are needed, new uploads should be made at the start of the break preceding the session in which the talk is to be given., i.e. 30 minutes before session start. Speakers are asked to pleaseverify that their talk is in place well before the session starts. All talks will be posted and made publicly available on the web, but only after the sessions (where the talks have been given) have ended.

Conference Events • Sunday, March 29, Welcome Reception, 6:00-9:00 p.m.Registration opened at 8:00 a.m. (before Student Day start) • Monday, March 30, Career Forum, 6:30-8:30 p.m.All students and post docs are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be provided. • Tuesday, March 31, and Thursday, April 2, Play "Copenhagen" in the • Carousel Theatre, UT campus, after poster sessions.The times are 8:00-10.30 p.m. on Tue (buses begin loading at 7.15 p.m., and departing from KCC conference venue by 19.30), and 7.30-10.00 p.m. on Thu (no bus provided from KCC on Thu; ~1 mile walking distance or approximately 20 minutes; see QM09 hotel map or web for directions) • Wednesday, April 1, afternoon from 12.30, Conference Excursion • Be sure to pick up your boxed lunch right before departure. • Friday, April 3, Conference Banquet. From 7:00 PM.
