  10. Expenditures • These are your costs. • Everything that you spend money on. • All equipment rentals, purchases, & fines.

  11. Gross Profit • The total amount of money you earn by selling your separated components to the teacher.

  12. Net Profit • The amount of money you have left over after you subtract your expenditures. • This is the actual amount of money that you end up with.

  13. “In the BLACK” • This means that your company is making money. • If your gross profit is greater than your expenditures, then you end up with money left over.

  14. “In the RED” • This means that your company owes money. • If your gross profit is less than your expenditures, then you do not have enough money to pay your bills.
