  2. CHILDHOOD • She was born on July 10,1875 in Maysville, South Carolina.

  3. CHILDHOOD Her parents were slaves.

  4. CHILDHOOD • Her family was very poor.

  5. ADULTHOOD • Mary McLeod Bethune studied at religious schools and became a teacher.

  6. ADULTHOOD In 1898 she married Albert Bethune who was a teacher.

  7. ADULTHOOD • Mary McLeod Bethune attended a mission school which was called The Moody Bible Institute

  8. ADULTHOOD • She had a school with 100 students

  9. ADULTHOOD • Now Mary McLeod Bethune’s school is a collage that all of us can go to.

  10. ADULTHOOD Mary also made a hospital for her school.

  11. ADULTHOOD • Mary McLeod Bethune got a medal for being an outstanding African American.

  12. ADULTHOOD • Mary McLeod Bethune showed responsibility for her students.

  13. OLD LADY • Eleanor Roosevelt worked with Mary.

  14. OLDLADY • Mary McLeod Bethune was very famous

  15. DEATH Then she passed away
