  2. Learnia The Learnia formative assessment system empowers educators with periodic information (Oct/Feb)on the progress of students toward acquiring the skills and knowledge that will be assessed on the NJ ASK.

  3. Level 1 – Differentiated Instruction Learnia Supports Your Instruction by: • Providing data that can be integrated into the instructional process • Allowing for differentiated planning and instruction • Monitoring student progress toward proficiency on NJ CCCS.

  4. The Learnia web-based system provides information about the strengths and weaknesses of individual students. • alerting educators to any potential gap in student proficiency • alerting educators to any student who has already mastered grade level standards

  5. Level 2 – Remedial Program • Mathematics Intervention Program (Do the Math/Marilyn Burns) • Reading Intervention Program (Multisensory Reading)

  6. Level 3 • Referral – Students who have been experiencing difficulty with acquiring grade level skills will be monitored through the I&RS process. Students who continue to experience difficulty acquiring grade level skills after participating in a remedial math and/or reading program, would be recommended for the referral process by the I&RS team.

  7. Suggested Timeline • Level 1: October 10th results used to set learning goal for December 1st. Students who achieve goal should set new, higher level goal. Students who do not achieve goal should be screened for level 2. • Level 2: December 10th – February 1st • February-Take Learnia form 2. Students who have not demonstrated progress will proceed to level 3. • Level 3: February 18th -Student intervention data shared with I&RS for referral.

Learnia TrainingPDC @ Mohawk Avenue • Sept. 18th:   Grade 3 teachers- 8:30 to 11:30 Grade 4 teachers,12:30 to 3:30 • Sept. 19th:   Grade 5 teachers-9:00 to noon Grade 6,7,8 (math & LAL teachers only) 1:00-4:00 • Sept. 22nd:   8:30-noon, Learnia Leader training • Sept. 29 – Oct 10th:  Test window
